Started production of Gear Shifters and Cable assemblies for FIAT India
SKH SILA India Pvt. Ltd. (SKH SILA) is a joint venture established in 2009 between SKH Metals (with 40% equity stake) & SILA Group of Italy (with 60% equity stake) operating through its facility in Gurugram, Haryana. SKH SILA manufactures Gear Shifters and assemblies, Gear Knobs, Shift & Select Cables.
Manufacturing Facility
The Gurugam facility is spread over a total area of 88,000 Sqft. with plant area of 31,500 sqft.
ASSEMBLY OPERATION TECHNOLOGY
- Fixturing with automatic clamping system.
- Poka-yoke to recognize changeover version in production.
- Automatic greasing system driving greasing dosing valves through servos/actuators.
- Analogic sensors/load cells/servo drivers for process controls.
- SCADA system for traceability.
EOL TESTING MACHINES AND ROBOTIC SOLUTIONS
- Automatic characterization control with 100% accuracy to the specification.
- Main lever movement to be done by robot.
- Step movement through all positions, checking the strokes between different positions.
Apart from the manufacturing setup, it houses a full service testing lab comprising of SST chamber, UTM Machine, Shifter abuse test machine, Lever abuse test machine, metallography polishing machine, hydrolysis and Knob load testing machine.

It’s key customers include Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Suzuki Motors Gujarat, Skoda Volkswagen India, FCA and Ashok Leyland.
